Location and breakfast buffet
During our arrival we requested to have a picnic/breakfast box for the day of check out as our flight was too early. They confirmed it will be there, we remind it to the reception the day before the departure. When we ask for the picnic box before leaving, no picnic box was prepared, nobody 'knew' about it. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

1st floor room - noisy - Asked reception to move rooms and their response was close the windows!
all rooms require makeover as they are very worn, tired and old
The Hotel Madrid Gran Vía 25 Affiliated by Meliá allows you to discover the capital like never before. Close to everything, our hotel offers superior rooms with fantastic city views and a minibar with soft drinks included, a modern buffet restaurant so you start the day with a delicious breakfast while admiring the iconic Gran Vía or, if you need to work, a multi-purpose space for business events or meetings. Your getaway break in Madrid will be a great success with a team at your service to help you with everything you need.Having “churro” fritters with chocolate for breakfast near the iconic Puerta del Sol is a great way to start exploring Madrid. At mid-morning, try a squid baguette in the Plaza Mayor, the heart of the ancient Madrid de los Austrias. And when lunchtime approaches, visit San Miguel Market, a meeting point for people who love good food. Take an afternoon nap in the beautiful El Retiro Park and then later some shopping on Gran Vía or walking around Puerta de Alcalá. At sunset, it’s tough to choose the place to go to taste the famous tapas: Malasaña, Chueca, the Barrio de las Letras, Salamanca or La Latina. Where do you start?
