Volkshotel Amsterdam opened its doors in July 2014 in the Eastern part of Amsterdam, in a former newspaper headquarters. The modern 3 star hotel offers 196 minimalistic design rooms with newspaper details ranging from cosy hideouts to huge hangouts. Each room is decorated individually and includes flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi, safe and a private bathroom with shower and/or bath and hairdryer. A delicious breakfast is offered for an extra charge. The hotel also includes a lively bar and working area with some events in the evenings and a restaurant with organic food. On the roof you can find hot tubs and a sauna.
