Nakashimaya is a traditional Japanese inn, located in the downtown of Kumamoto. We provide rooms with tatami floors and futon at very reasonable prices, starting from 2,000 yen per night. At our hotel, guests can try traditional cloth dyeing techniques such as Roketsuzome or Shiborizome. Enjoy taking a stroll by Kumamoto castle, one of Japan's three major castles. Very close to Kumamoto Kotsu Center. Easy access to the famous Aso Caldera, Amakusa, Kurokawa onsen, the hot springs resort of Beppu in Oita prefecture, Takachiho in Miyazaki prefecture, Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Kagoshima, Saga, etc. Perfect accommodation for anyone looking for a reasonably priced inn, such as a guest house, a youth hostel or a backpacker's inn.
