Val Gardena is on the A22 Brennero Motorway. Visitors from the south should follow: Verona – Trento – Bolzano – Chiusa. Visitors from the north should follow: Innsbruck – Brennero – Chiusa. The exit is signed: Chiusa / Val Gardena It takes approximately 20 minutes to Ortisei following the road signs. Santa Cristina is 2 kilometres further down the road. When you arrive at Santa Cristina follow the signs for Funivie Saslong where you will find the cableway which takes you to the Hotel Sochers. There is an ample open car park in the adjoining square.

Val Gardena is connected to the rest of Italy and also to Austria, Germany, Belgium and Holland by excellent Intercity and EuroCity train services. All trains stop at Bolzano or Bressanone and some stop at Chiusa. During the day there are Buses nearly every hour from Bolzano and Bressanone to Val Gardena.
