The hotel is located directly on the main road leading to Basel. The highway A 3 with the exit to Grenzach leads through Switzerland. Coming from the north on the A98, the exit Rheinfelden Süd must be taken in the direction of Grenzach. Grenzach train station is about a 5-minute walk away. Only one stop away is the Badische Bahnhof Basel, where long-distance trains also stop.

One associates modern fine dining with culinary metropolises and less with Grenzach-Whylen on the border to France and Switzerland. The father-son team Rainer and Nicolai Wiedmer succeed impressively in setting a tasteful i-dot on an international level in the region without forgetting their South Baden roots. In recent years, the team around the Wiedmers has not only earned 1 Michelin star and two red toques in Gault-Millau, but also welcomed numerous guests to one of the 100 most beautiful hotel restaurants in Germany according to GEO magazine.
