Appearing on the National Register of Historic Places, the 15-story building features a limestone and brick exterior with terra cotta embellishments. Designed in the Gothic Revival style by the Kansas City architectural firm of Smith, Rea and Lovitt, construction of the Kansas City Club Building was started in 1918 and completed in 1922. The club was organized for the "purpose of cultivating social and business associations among the leading business professionals in Kansas City." The club remained at this location in the heart of the downtown business district for approximately 80 years. The majority of the spaces represent their originality from the early 1900's where hand-hewn walnut, carved stone, stained glass, and gilded plaster were often used. These architectural wonders have been preserved and returned to their original glory for the benefit of all to ensure a unique and memorable occasion.
