A Bauhaus-inspired loft, adapted for Southern Europe, in a Niemeyer-like north-to-south transformation, by one of the best Greek architects, Katerina Tsigarida. The asymmetric space (due to the lack of urban planning in the area in the early 1970s) has been restored to its original era. Careful procurement of materials with late 1960s early 1970s feel and functionality, yield a warm yet Doric aesthetic. For example, cement and wood were used for John Lautner-inspired built-in furniture: the bathtub becomes the sink, becomes the desk (more of a statue than a construction), the wooden (daybed) becomes the Fibonacci sequence spaced shelves, becomes the bed, and becomes the closet A marble kitchen sink and new yet original tabs from that decade were sourced. Kitchen cabinets were custom made according to that time and neighborhood. The view is magnificent. A Katerina Tsigarida house. 70 sq. m (750 sq. ft.).
