Thanks to its central location in Des Moines/Iowa, the hotel is a good starting point for your trip to town. The neighbourhood has a few nice parks of which Pappajohn Sculpture Park is to be highlighted. Stroll along Principal Riverwalk and admire the Capitol of Iowa with its gold-plated dome.

Evaluations of Holiday Inn DES MOINES DTWN - MERCY AREA
Liked relatively new equipment and design, good size of room, reception changed w/o hazzle as in first one somebody had smoked though it was a non-smoking room
Very pricy thus low rating on value for money // even room was facing to rear it was very noisy with ambulances and helicopters approaching the nearby hospital during evening and night. Noise insulation of window to be improved!
For some reason, when I went to check in, they told me that I did not have a guaranteed room.
Very good location.
Very good and no so good service at lobby. Depend on the shift/people.
