Evaluations of Holiday Inn BIRMINGHAM CITY CENTRE
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The inside view of the hotel and the rooms are really ok. The location is pretty central whereever you have to go in Birmingham.
The outside view and the buildings around do not look very nice. The huge construction site of Birmingham New Street - Station is nearby. The breakfast is pretty English and not that continental/international.
For the second time there was no paperwork at reception and said it was room only when it wasn't. I will never stay there again.
Very nice hotel and very nice staff.
I was a bit disappointed that for 24 hours stay, I had to pay £24.00 parking though!
They didn't have confirmation of my booking and I had to insist on them ringing CWL. They then found it after about 20 mins. Had the nerve to tell me not to get angry!! Will never stay there again.
Good location, close to Bullring, The Mailbox and others
Right in the heart of the noise. Outside and inside. I think there's a group discount for noisy neighbours. Internet worked rarely if at all.
Breakfast was ok.
It was so noisy it was impossible to sleep at night. The windows don't seem to be soundproof at all! The hotel is located on a main street in the city centre where many people go out and shout at night. Traffic is also very heavy and therefore loud.
I was pleasantly surprised what a great room it was for the price. This was definately a great deal as looking at the reception, the massive rooms were nearly 3 times the price we paid. Excellent price and very nice hotel. Would recommend.
None that I can think of.
Really enjoyed our stay - hotel clean and well equipped // its a shame I have to comment re below.
It was an extremely cold night and it would have been nice to have the room warmed before arrival. Could not take my coat of for 15 mins! Our friends in an adjoining room had no heating at all and although an electric heater was provided, this did not really take the chill out of the air.
Single room was very small, bed was uncomfortable and not level. Not up to usual Holiday Inn standards at all.
Friendly and helpful staff // efficient procedures // everything made easy for the guest without intrusion
Hotel location badly signposted // catering unimaginative
