Location

everything is bad about this hotel. Rooms are very small. Bathrooms stink badly. Avoid this hotel if possible. It is not even worth a 3 star property.

The room was spacious, enjoyed the restaurants, café and cocktail lounge, fast service and close to shopping centres and other eating places.

For a 5 star hotel, the room was old with only 2 small drawers and the tv reception was terrible. Basin taps in the bathroom hardly any water came out and on the first night, the water did not go down and flooded. Bath taps were very old, not 5 star at all. The robe provided in the room was made of cheap material that was uncomfortable. At the gym I wanted to purchase a protein drink and there were no staff around. I waited and knocked on the trainer's door for 5 minutes before one man came up to me whom I had seen earlier training beside me. I thought he was a guest. He had saw me standing at the counter and yet he continued training. When I questioned him about letting me waited so long, he said he was training. Very slack! Another incident was the arrogant Indian Parking security guard. It was complimentary parking but something went wrong while driving out and I had to pay extras. Though I had the receipt to show the security guard for refund, yet he insisted on seeing the complimentary ticket, which was impossible as it was already inserted into the machine. It was a ridiculous request as he should already knew how the ticket works. He then wanted my car details which I thought was such a hassle as I already supplied him with the receipt and the concierge had record of my car info and the time the complimentary ticket was given to me, yet he still insist I write down my car details so he could check the security footage before my money can be refunded. Though the next day the money was refunded and the manager apologised for the inconvenience, I was already furious for them not trusting their guest. Their excuse for the security attitude was that some security guards likes to behave that they are important. What an absurd excuse! Furthermore when I checked out, I realised they had charged me local calls as well and in different amounts according to the time. Though the location was great and the lobby was impressive, I prefer for my stay in a 5 star hotel to be hassle free and no extra charges for local calls and a room not something out of the 80s/90s. Also the gym should be 24 hours like the other hotels and not closes at 10pm. I had stayed in many 4 and 5 star hotels in Singapore and they were so much better. I will never go back to this hotel again.
