Bet bugs didn't let sleep whole night. Scratching marks all over the body. Unacceptable.

All reception staff were friendly and helpfull except for one

Lights went out in bathroom, eventually repaired but not quite. Lights flickered again

Breakfast was quite adequate and close to train station.

Bed and toilet facilities are rundown, cleanliness needs a lot of improvement. Adequate enough for overnight stay.

Breakfast and LCD TV on room. Previous gest had smoked at the room and put toilet paper to fire detection alarm system. Staff came and took paper away. Hotel gave a quick fix to broken matress and basin. On the other hand, of cource these type of broken things should be corrected all times at three star hotel.

Our Hotel in Amsterdam demanded to pay additional 30 € hotel tax (total 645 €) on arrival when booking information stated that the tax is included in the total price 615 €. During arrival I showed hotel booking papers to receptionist where a text was “6.0 PCT TAX PER ROOM PER NIGHT INCLUDED”. Receptionist ignored that and showed me some Spanish or Portuguese or some other unfamiliar language where the price 645 €. We have contacted Pia Richard from your Support Services. She has contacted France Hotel as well as their reservation service with this matter and asked for their statement and a refund of the overcharged EUR 30,00 at their earliest convenience. Ms. Richard had received message from the hotel. According to the hotel, their reservation service is to blame for this very unfortunate situation, as they made the wrong room rates available on our web site Today we have not received any refund. Amsterdam was beautiful city but this kind of things will of course give a bad taste in one's mouth.

The guy at the desk tried to con me out of 12 extra Euros by saying I had to pay an extra tax of 5%. This tax was already in the quoted price, but he thought that he might get away with it, since Americans are used to paying a separate tax above the quoted price. Beware!
