Evaluations of Falstaff Hotel
The room was clean and tidy. Free wi fi. Plenty of towels. Shower cubicle instead of a bath. Staff very friendly. No fuss. It does what it says on the tin type of hotel.
I went to use the iron but found bare wires so decided against that. I've stayed here previously and last time i had a shower above the bath which was pretty pants with the temperature changing all the time. This time i had a room with just a shower cubicle. Was much better.
Public areas and rooms well decorated, free wifi
Position and parking facilities
Felt a little run on a shoestring and staff although pleasant not very professional nor efficient
We needed to leave on a sunday morning early and went to the breakfast area at 7.30 hoping for a quick breakfast. The staff did not know the cooked breakfast was to start at 7.30 until we informed them that is what the information sheet displayed. The chef arrived at about 7.35. We were asked if he could make us a quick meal which was appreciated and my wife and I ordered one each, but for some unfathomable reason one meal was served and then we had to wait for another to be made afterwards even though they knew we had to leave and when that was. Bizarre.
Although advertised as such, this is NOT a Best Western Hotel anymore, and it shows! Terrible customer service and breakfast was an absolute shambles. This is the first time I have a hotel feeling tired and hungry - avoid at all costs!
Room service good Comfortable bed Cheerful breakfast staff Quiet
Towel rail in bathroom didn't work No hair dryer or iron in the room
Very dated interior . Mould in bathrooms . Windows are opened every day , so very cold when returning in the evening . Small electric heaters provided
Good location, quiet, clean, nice staff.
The corridors could do with some modernisation, but that's a minor thing..
Very old, especially bathroom Lot of mould in bathroom
Clean room. Friendly service.
Hotel is a little tired. Room was cold...
