The Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I is located in the Diagonal avenue, business & financial district of Barcelona Built for the 1992 Olympic Games the hotel facilities have been enlarged and renovated. The Hotel has been designed by the prestigious architects Ferrater and Cartaña and was awarded with '1992-1993 National Architecture and Construction Award”.
In addition of its 395 bedrooms and 37 suites equipped with plasma TV, minibar and free Wi-fi, it has also two gastronomic restaurants; Polo Restaurant and The Garden Restaurant as well as five trendy bars and three swimming pools, two of them outdoors.

On February 20th, the Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos I launched its new chic and stylish lobby concept created by the prestigious London studio Richmond Design Hospitality. Luxurious and comfortable, the space gives rise to a unique Bar & Lounge where guests will experience a delicious variety of Spanish cuisine and a full selection of inimitable cocktails and drinks. The famous urban resort has also revamped the front desk and common areas including a new “fresh and tasty food” concept restaurant offering the most appealing breakfast-buffet in Barcelona. This first phase of the hotel wide refurbishment project shall be followed by the makeover of 432 guest rooms, of which 239 will be completed as soon as August 2016 and the rest finished by June 2017.
