Hotel Elbe is set in the centre of Frankfurt in the immediate vicinity of the banking district and the popular area around the railway station (red light district) with direct connections to the public transport network. Frankfurt and Offenbach exhibition centres as well as all the sights of the city are within a few minutes’ walk.
The establishment has been recently renovated and awarded three stars by the DEHOGA association of hotels. There are 25 rooms (3 of which with balconies) all equipped with en-suite facilities, hairdryer, cable TV, direct dial telephone, mini fridge and heating. All rooms offer WLAN use free of charge. One child up to 5 years old may stay in the parents’ room for free.
Fax and photocopy facilities and a comprehensive range of information and brochures concerning events, restaurants (serving mainly plain fare and regional cuisine) and city listings are available at the reception. Pets are welcome, subject to a small surcharge.
The city’s important sights, such as the Römer (town hall), the Palmengarten (botanical garden), the zoo, St.Paul’s church, the old opera house, the stock exchange, Goethe’s birthplace and a number of museums are all within easy reach on foot. Boat trips on the River Main, for example to Bingen, Rüdesheim or Loreley, also depart nearby.
