Evaluations of Drei Könige Dom Hotel
at city center, not expect much quality service or room.
The hotel staff are kind and skillful. Noises in the room are neglectable after close the window, even if my window directly faces the railway. The hotel is very close to the business district and railway station, which is the main reason I selected it.
The furniture and decorating in the room is old, and the shower cubicle is small. The mattress in the bed is loose thus uncomfortable.
Location,staff ,towels where good
Very old furniture, needs good coat of paint, pillows and bed linen need replacing ,no place to sit down on reception,
Considering the closeness to the train station, this is a good deal. Should be great fun for people who like watching trains.
With open windows and room almost above the train station, it is very noisy. With closed window it is not too bad. Probably the other side towards the street is much better.
Stayed 1 night on Sunday 3/6/12.Fast check-in and check-out.Friendly staff abd decent breakfast.Good location for train station and cathedral.89 euro for 4 people with breakfast so good value.
Room on ground floor by toilets (the only room there). Window to the reception. But it is quiet and room is spacious for 4. No shower curtain so bathroom floor got a bit wet.
Very comfortable and close to station. Would definitely stay there again.Good breakfast.
On arrival they had NO reference to my reservation but a room was available - it was a Sunday. This aspect needs to be investigated. If the hotel had been full what would I have done ?
Very good value and prime location. Staff is very nice and helpful, breakfast very good. Just right for one or two nights stay.
Very friendly staff, good breakfast. The room is clean, the furniture quite simple, sheets & beds are good. If only they would replace this green old carpet with a new one, then this hotel would be my top recommendation for Cologne at this price level!
Our booking confirmation went never through and we got lucky to show up FIRST!
Sorry for the other family with 2 children! We will not book without calling before again! Traveling with children and overbooking is almost crazy! Very hard to find!!!!!
The hotel is in a very good location, close to both the main station and cathedral. There are also at least three good restaurants in the same street about 15-20m from the front door of the hotel.
My room was next to the lift and also looked out on to the platforms at the main station. I could hear the tannoy announcements from the station from 6am. Whilst this didn't bother me, it might be worth asking for a room facing the street if this is likely to bother you.
