Evaluations of DoubleTree by Hilton Zagreb
Friendly and helpful staff.
Not sufficient light in the room - despite plenty of ambient lights, the room is too dark . Light and heating switches are too confusing. Poor heat distribution in the room, outside it was -6 C and the carpet floor was chilly cold 2m from the glass window. This should be better solved for this hotel category.
It was clean, comfortable and without noise. Stuff was very polite.
The shower did not work properly. It wasn't possible to make room warmer and to increase temperature.
interior design, spaciousness, quality of materials, staff professionalism, all were outstanding.
Beautiful rooms, most clean and wonderfully helpful and friendly staff
Wonderful attitude from the staff, great business location, midern futniture
More TV stations in English
very nice hotel, good location at the Green Gold Center with shops and bars
Very friendly people
Staff is very kind and available for service. High quality of the furniture.
Hilton, friendly staff
Slow internet, internet via proxy (Netflix doesn't work), water temperature varies constantly while using, water pressure weak (small water stream in the sink), good quality breakfast but VERY weak selection, location's off center and nothing much around
check-in was very efficient and friendly. The clerk spoke 4 languages fluently. The motto of the hotel chain is that every guest gets a warm chocolate-chip cookie upon arrival. Nice touch - good cookie :-)! The hotel is new, just about 2 years old. Therefore no wear and tear and everything is clean. Good bed and good pillows.
The hotel is located in a business park alongside a fairly busy road. Get a room towards the back! You have to take a taxi or public transport into the city center. Quite busy during breakfast rush hour and only limited seating capacity. Staff is a little over-eager and cleaned away unfinished plate twice while I was getting something to drink once and more bread the second time. The rooms are not big. O.k. for one person but tight for two, I am sure. All lights are controlled with tiny electroinc buttons. If you don't see too well it's hard to find out which button is for what light. The bathroom floors are black marble. visually nice but really cold and there is no floor heating (at least I couldn't find a tiny button to switch it on. There is a strange pattern on the marble, looks like dried up droplets of water )or other fluids) not cleaned properly, but this is embedded in the marble. Strange. There is no power outlet for the hair dryer in the bathroom. So you have to take the dryer (which is located in a pouch in the armoir in the main room and plug it in over the desk, wherer there are several outlets. The free WIFI is rather lame.
