Evaluations of Crowne Plaza LIVERPOOL JOHN LENNON AIRPORT
Staff is friendly by attitude.
Price is high compared to quality room quality is poor. no hand shower in bathroom. need to have basic toiletteries like slipper, shaver etc in the room in advance. guest service picks up only after 3-4 calls.
The rooms are clean enough and the bed was comfortable. The hotel's proximity to certain businesses is a plus and parking is free.
It is an absolute joke that IHG actually recognises this hotel (a renovated old airport) as a Crowne Plaza!! At most, it's a 3 star hotel, from the exterior/interior decoration to the amenities, food, services and staff. Very unprofessional and improperly trained staff. Not one person, whether in the bar, the restaurant or at the reception seemed to care about their job. Very flippant attitude. Not only is courteousness not their strong point, they don't care that their strong dialect is not understood by customers (even native English!!). Dialect is charming, but not in an international hotel, especially one that belongs to IHG. Also, hygiene is not high on the list with the bar and restaurant staff, allowing their hands to touch the food when serving. The bar food is very poor quality and not worth the price. Dirty glasses in the breakfast room and coffee stains on the exterior of the coffee pots did not make a good impression either! Do not book here unless you have to.
Great location and was clean, room was well layed out and very comfortable.
The person at reception was far from friendly (checked in at about 7pm) he was rude and looked like he did not want to be there. Very off putting, when I do go back to Liverpool, it might be to a different hotel due to this one person. It costs nothing to be nice.
Very quick pick up and drop off at airport. Great stay - shame we had to leave at 4pm to catch plane!
