Evaluations of Britannia Hotel Edinburgh
The bar area and general cleanliness of the hotel
My room had a window that wouldn't shut properly which meant I had all of the noise from the busy road directly below me. Also the TV didn't work and the room was generally extremely small
o
First room that was given to us was not made up. Made the trip down to reception to change room. Second room the toilet wouldn't flush. On third trip to reception they told us that we were doing it wrong. We had to go out and we left it for a while, wondering if it took a while for the cistern to reset. Still didn't work. Finally someone came up to repair. Fairly frustrating experience all round.
very helpful when we looked into early arrival as we were attending a wedding
room was dirty with previous guest belonigings still on the floor , single beds when I booked 3 double rooms, drinks or something spilled all down the walls and the plaster work on the walls what I can only describe as holes punched through them.
only three free parking spots which was not specified when booking hotel the rest of the parking costs £5,00 per day, upon arrival had to wait three hours to check in even though early check-in was requested and the male member of staff on duty had a smug demeanour, and poor attitude
Good value for money. Didn't have the breakfast.
Building work taking place in the hotel which we were warned about but didn't affect us.
Maybe the price, location.
Rooms are dirty, smelling smoke all over, got breathing difficult after one day with that dirty carpet.
