Evaluations of Berliner Hof Garni
I took a double room for one night. Everything was quite bearable until morning. Early in the morning I woke up becuase I had hand itchy. I found an insect bite. I looked down on my bed and found a bug. I immediately stood up and began to study the bed carefully. There were many of them! A lot for a hotel with three stars on a board. That was awful! Some of them were apparently crushed during my sleep. On the bed were drops of blood. I took pictures of insects to find out what it is in case of they are contagious. Part of insects, that was still alive, I showed the clerk. He looked surprised. On my natural desire to return the money I've got a negative responce. In Wikipedia, I learned that that were bed bugs (Cimicidae). Thanks god, that I´ve noticed them in time and they do not bitten my girlfriend. Do organize a health inspection of this place, I beg you! Thank you in advance!
We regretted the fact that we had no hot water for the shower. The room was very noisy and the person at the desk showed no helpfulness whatsoever.
Close to railway station and easy access to all areas of Dusseldorf. inexpensive.
In a ´´rough´´ area of the City, poorly trained staff, very noisy. Lumpy bed. Little room to walk round the bed, kept bashing shins on corner of the bed.
room was quite small
Parking in garage, nice staff, English spoken, breakfast OK, little bit tatty, easy walk to central city facilities
But parking very limited number in garage and extra charge. Would not want to leave English car in area. Area mixed - would not want a single person walking at night. Rooms at front pretty noisy at night as needed to leave windows open
Very small room for 2 people. It was not possible to open the doors totally due to the lack of space. Personal changed all the time and was not interested of guests
The only negative point would be the breakfast buffet: the ´´variety´´ is a little disappointing.
The Hotel had changed the reserve from two single rooms to one double room, and they took from one double room the same price as two single rooms should cost ( 290 e ).
Was the only place available. The staff couldn't speak German very well, or English. The breakfast service was terrible.
