February 2018

The staff and facilities were very acceptable.

The room had recently been painted and the orour from the paint fumes was still evident in the room. This was so powerful that I felt a tingling sensation in my skin and lips. Only it was so late when I arrived I would have requested a change of room, however as it was only one night i persisted with it. The room next door had a party going on until almost 7am. I mentioed this to the front desk but the noise level or music/singing did not cease.

Nothing especially stood out..

- Shower was broken on arrival (cold tap not working = scalding shower). Reported to reception, maintenance team put a temporary fix that broke again the next day. Hotel was rather empty, don't know why I wasn't just moved to another room and allow the maintenance team to permanently fix it. - Parking is extra - No help from staff to carry bags up to your room - TV in room was poorly tuned in and rubbish to use - Food is positively average - Price of drinks is inhibitive - Price of breakfast is inhibitive - Air con is weak throughout the hotel - Decor desperatly needs a refresh

November 2015

I liked the hotel as it was comfy and close to the RDS.

When we were checking in we got no information regarding the hotel / dining hall / breakfast times not even directions where the rooms were. Only are you paying now or at check out? We decided to eat in the hotel the bar was the only place open. Service was very poor for such a big hotel. We sat down at 7.50pm and did not get our desert until 9.30pm. Ordered drinks from our waiter and we were waiting so long we ended going up to the bar and getting them ourselves. Food was ok but quite over cooked in some of the dishes.i think this hotel is definitely more suited to business clientele rather than families. Disaopointed.

March 2014

The hotel staff was very nice and trying to help as much as they could.

The room was dusty and old. The wardrobe has not been cleaned for a long time. As the room is not really soundproof it's a challenge to get a good sleep.
