The Landgasthof am Marktplatz hotel is located in the district Trockau, about 11 km away from the town of Pegnitz in the Upper Franconian county of Bayreuth. The town is situated in the Franconian Switzerland at the identically named Pegnitz River. Bayreuth, venue to the Bayreuth Festival, is only 20 km to the north.
