The Villa Meligunis art Hotel is a result of the attentive and skillful restoration of an elegant seventeenth century villa. It is an exclusive hotel full of charm and close to the hydrofoil port and the tiny town square of Marina Corta. Its 32 fully serviced rooms are equipped with the most modern comforts and facilities. The 24 hour reception desk has staff happy to suggest and organize some naturalistic and historical itineraries. The rooftop terrace of the Hotel where the excellent typical Aeolian restaurant is located as well as the swimming pool has a stunning view of the sea and the surrounding mountains and the monumental fortress of the The Castello; the ancient civitas and the home of many civilizations going back six thousand years and evidenced by the numerous archaeological treasures and relics beautifully displayed at the local museum. It is one of the most important in the Mediterranean. Around the fortress area there are many churches in various architectural styles from the Norman period to eighteenth century Baroque including the majestic San Bartolomeo cathedral and its recently discovered cloister from the XII century. A shuttle bus service runs between the Hotel and the beach of Canneto only four kilometers away where one can rent sun chairs and umbrellas. Additional information; Children age 2 and under stay free in the room with parents and in existing bedding. Children age 3-10 receive a 40 pct reduction. Children age 11-14 receive a 30 pct reduction. Children over this age will be considered an adult.
