Located right in the heart of the unique and breathtaking scenery of the Southern Black Forest, the hotel is just a 15-minute drive away from the nearby lake “Schluchsee” and 30 minutes away from the attractive skiing region “Feldberg”. Furthermore, due to the Southern Black Forest’s location in the boarder triangle Switzerland-France-Germany, we also recommend to visit Alsace, Zurich or Basel, just to mention some of the highlights.  

For now more than 200 years the traditional hotel “Schwarzwaldgasthof Hotel Hirschen” has been owned by Family Kaiser. The beautiful property was built in the 17th century and renovated between 1977 and 1980 with the greatest attention and passion for details. Therefore, for now more than 30 years the hotel is still fascinating its guests with outstanding hospitality, a warm and personal atmosphere and last but not least an excellent and renowned cuisine. Our bedrooms offer the highest comfort and are equipped with shower or bathtub, toilet, telephone, radio, satellite TV and balcony. Of course hotel guests can use our in-house sauna and if requested we are more than happy to book wellness treatments or massages for you.

In our comfortable and traditional restaurant we serve regional dishes to every taste. We focus on high quality seasonal fish and meat specialities, especially on fresh venison from Mr. Kaiser’s own hunting ground. Both regular and new guests are equally fascinated by the excellent food and wine selection and so it’s also not surprising that the hotel can count famous personalities, such as the Federal President of Germany Horst Köhler, among its guests.

The best hiking and Nordic Walking trails both for beginners and advanced learners, start right at the hotel’s doorstep. In winter the beautiful cross-country ski tracks attract many nature lovers. In immediate vicinity to the hotel one also finds: tennis courts, the wellness centre “Radon Revitalbad”, golf courts as well as climbing parks and paragliding schools.
