On the island of Elba, the Hotel residence Villa Giulia overlooks the Stella Gulf in front of the enchanting isle of Montecristo, only 10 km from the town of Portoferraio, close to the romantic villages of Capoliveri and Porto Azzurro. Thanks to its central position it is easy and quick to reach from Lido di Capoliveri in only a few minutes by car the most beautiful beaches of the southern coast: Felciaio, Norsi, Margidore, Lacona, Laconella as well as a lot of small creeks around Capoliveri. Dining: On the favolous terrace with sea view of our restaurant we serve a tasty, genouine italian cuisine with dishes of the local gastronomical tradition. For breakfast and lunch our guests find a rich self service buffet and in the evening dinner is served at table. Recreation: Near the hotel our guests find also a new swimmingpool with a special pool for children, equipped with deck chairs and umbrellas. |

The hotel is situated in the locality Lido di Capoliveri. If you get of the ferry at Porto Azzurro, just follow the indications of Portoferraio. After the crossing for Capoliveri, just continue streight, direction Lido and after 2 km. you will find our hotel on the left side. If you come from Portoferraio, follow the direction of Porto Azzurro. After the crossing for Lacona, continue straight, direction Lido and after 1 km you find our hotel on the left side. Car ferries leave Piombino almost hourly for Portoferraio in the summer season. There are also a couple of daily ferries for Porto Azzurro and Rio Marina The main shipping companies are the Toremar and Mobylines. The crossing Piombino-Portoferraio takes one hour. Recently a new 'fast' boat carrying a limited number of cars is in service. A hydrofoil service (no cars) takes 40 minutes. By car: From the North of Italy (click for map): from Milano take the A1 motorway, change to the A15 at Parma Ovest to join the A12 Genova-Livorno exit later at Rosignano. Continue on dual-carriageway as far as right-hand sign to ' Venturina/Isola dElba'. Continue on the main road until you reach Piombino Marittima/Portoferraio. From the North -East (click for map): Take the A1 motorway Bologna-Firenze-Pisa-Livorno exit later at Rosignano and continue as above. Alternatively: take the S.G.C.( not a motorway but a very good road) Firenze-Pisa-Livorno, exit at Firenze Signa and follow the main road as far as Collesalvetti. At Collesalvetti re-join the motorway and exit at Rosignano, then dual carriageway as above down to Piombino. From the South (click for map): Take the A12 Roma-Grosseto, continue on the main road 'the Aurelia': exit at Venturina-Isola dElba then follow as above for Piombino. By plane: During the summer Elba is connected by many flights by italian and foreign companies from the following airports: Milano MAlpensa and Linate, Pisa, Zuerich, Bern, Friedrichshafen, Muenchen. The airport islocated in La Pila, approx. 15 km from our hotel. By train: The train station of Piombino Marittima is 50 meters far to the ferries departures (see www.trenitalia.it) |
