The Restaurant Orphée is located in the heart of Regensburg’s Old Town, just a 3-minute walk from the cathedral and the Steinerne Brücke bridge. It first opened in 1977 and is a traditional restaurant with an interior that has remained largely unchanged since 1896. An extensive, yet true-to-detail refurbishment of the baroque building – Untere Bachgasse 8 – took place in May 2005. Alongside the restaurant, the building now also houses our Hotel Orphée - Großes Haus, comprising 31 rooms and 1 apartment.
The rooms have been decorated in the style of the Orphée restaurant. They are all different and feature original furnishings. Guests can expect to find antique furniture, chandeliers, old trunks and four-poster beds.
The Restaurant Orphée in Regensburg is the most original French bistro east of the Rhine River. The cuisine is Mediterranean in style and the wine list will satisfy even the most refined tastes.
If you are looking for a truly unique setting for your conference – one that is less reminiscent of Gelsenkirchen and more of Siena - then look no further than the Großes Haus.
