Hotel Castel Vecchio is located only 500 m from the historic centre of Castel Gandolfo, where on the main Piazza, you can find the impressing Palazzo Pontificio, the summer residence of the Pope and a visiting place for thousands of tourists every year. Our hotel is only 30 km from the Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino airport and 6 km from Ciampino airport.
In our property, we have 47 rooms, all provided with every comfort. They are refined and elegant and are equipped with 2 direct-dial telephones, a TV, a fridge-bar, a hairdryer, a radio and a fascinating view on the lake. The regular double rooms are 14 qm size.
Our restaurant named Grande Carte is open every day for lunch and for dinner depending on the availability of daily events. It includes dishes of the Italian tradition and also an international cuisine. We can host there up to 190 people.
Many activities can be practised during the seasons such as canoeing, windsurfing, water skiing, sailing and jogging. It is also possible to play golf in the famous Castel Gandolfo Country Club. We recommend horseback riding at the Pratoni dei Vivaro and our outdoor swimming pool as well. On request, we can organise guided visits and touristic multilingual excursions in Rome, Roman Castles and Tivoli.
