The hotel was constructed in neo-classical style in 1870s, and opened in 1904 under the name of 'Hotel Molaro'. In a short while it became frequented by famous artists, writers and noble families. The elegant lounges furnished in the style of Louis XVI, provide a welcoming atmosphere that takes one back to the time when the queen of Sweden and the Kaiser and other friends of the doctor Axel Munthe frequently visited the hotel Dining: From the spacious restaurant, there are wonderful panoramic views of the Gulf of Naples. These large area can seat guests for all types of functions with typical regional food and Capri specialities. The large adjacent 'Faraglioni' room is reserved for excursion groups, this will be the best choice for lunch during your tour in Capri. The Coppola family who manage the hotel will be able to suggest a menu to satisfy different tastes. At the pool side there is a snack bar where you can enjoy typical local snacks and drinks.
