Since the mid 60s, the Familienerholungswerk Paderborn e. V. (familiy recreation association of Paderborn) has been using Hotel Schloß Gehrden for family vacations and as an educational institution. This also corresponds with Hotel Schloß Gehrden's primary objective to always be there for families, people with disabilities and people in special situations.
Thanks to the confidence of Gehrden's inhabitants and thanks to the generous grants of the Stiftung Wohlfahrtspflege (foundation for social welfare) and the Federal Government, it was possible to completely renovate the hotel. It now offers contemporary comfort and gracious ambience that reflects in the castle's rooms. Additionally, the rooms meet the needs of disabled guests and can be accessed and used with wheelchairs.
However, business guests are welcome as well. We will of course provide you with internet access and all the equipment you may need.
Our chef de cuisine and his team create culinary pleasures inspired by the Austrian cuisine, but with seasonal variations.
The hotel's surroundings furthermore offer numerous opportunities for long and short hiking tours as well as cycling. Sights include the historic hanseatic town of Brakel and the Archbishop's town of Paderborn with its museums.
