The PowderMills Hotel is steeped in history and surrounded by the most beautiful and historic parts of Sussex and Kent. The Orangery Restaurant has received many accolades. The Hotel is richly furnished with fine antiques and has log fires in the winter. There is a range of 40 individually decorated bedrooms and junior suites in-keeping with the style of the House- many with 4 posters. The PowderMills offers a range of Conference and Banqueting facilities that cater for every eventuality. From the intimacy of the Georgian room where up to sixteen can be seated for dinner- to the professionally designed and equipped Pavilion- which can easily accommodate a reception for 320. Originally the site of a famous Gunpowder Works- reputed to have made the finest gunpowder in Europe during Napoleonic Wars. It has now been skillfully converted into a fascinating Hotel. Set in beautiful tranquil grounds- guests can enjoy walks through woodland trails- absorbing the sights of the surrounding flora and fauna. A seven acre specimen fishing lake is available for guests for fishing. Wild geese- swans- ducks- kingfishers and herons abound in this relaxed ambience as the Hotels Springer Spaniels welcome many guests. The Hotel is tastefully furnished throughout with furniture and paintings in-keeping with the period of the property.
