A forerunner in the luxury hotel business, the Hotel Meurice in Calais, the first of its name, exists since 1771. Destroyed during World War II, the hotel was rebuilt in 1954-1955. A three-star hotel, but built to four-star standards, a haven of peace and tranquillity, the Hotel Meurice's friendly atmosphere and charm await you right in the heart of the city.
All rooms are equipped with shower, toilet, hairdryer, flat screen television, direct dial telephone and WLAN at cost.
Its imposing and massive structure, its outstanding inside volumes, the elegant main stair with wrought iron and brass banisters, as well as the large and stylish main lounge, give it the image of a castle or mini-palace as written in some guides. The period furniture contributes to this image of a castle even more.
