The Sun Hotel is a traditional coaching inn- which has been an important landmark of historic Hitchin since the 1500s.The hotel is a favorite with locals- businessmen and leisure travelers alike who come to enjoy the excellent meals on offer here. The Restaurant serves a wide range of food from around the world and traditional English favorites. Cromwells bar is a thriving night spot frequented by locals and hotel guests alike. There are 5 meeting and conference rooms- as well as a superb ballroom- which caters for up to 150 guests. We specialize in Weddings and parties and have a dedicated functions coordinator to assist you with your every need. All 32 comfortable en-suite bedrooms have a CD player as standard- as well as an iron and ironing board for your convenience. Two feature rooms including one with a four poster also available. Wireless internet is available throughout the hotel. Hitchin has many lovely half-timbered buildings- a museum and an art gallery. Nearby attractions include the magnificent Knebworth House- Woburn Abbey- Dunstable Downs and Luton Hoo with its extensive grounds designed by Capability Brown.
