The Scotsman sits majestically beside North Bridge, overlooking Edinburgh Castle and Waverley Station, just a minute’s walk from The Royal Mile and Princes Street.
A grand baronial property with contemporary styling, this hotel occupies one of the Scottish capital’s greatest buildings, formally residence to The Scotsman newspaper. Edgy design sets sheet glass and steel girders alongside the original walnut panelling, stained glass window and marble staircase of the entrance.
‘Escape’, a private members' health club, is located within the hotel and entrance is complimentary to hotel guests. Extending over three levels, the 20,000 sq. ft. club boasts a 16.2 metre (53.5 Feet) stainless steel swimming pool, spa pool, sauna, solarium and steam rooms, Arctic & Tropical showers, 60 station air-conditioned cardio-vascular and resistance gymnasium with aerobics studio classes and a café bar.
