Situated on the east coast of Sardinia, the gulf of Orosei is one of the natural oasis in Europe still intact. The colours of the sea and the perfume of the mediteranean 'macchia' enchant your senses. The lively and pleasant little fishing village 'Cala Gonone' offers you a wonderful scenario: from the tourist harbour by boat or rubber boat you can get to the bays, beaches and grottos which appear between the high rocks, reflecting on the emerald sea. Situated in this corner of Sardinia, surrounded by green oak trees and oleander bushes is the 'Villaggio Club Palmasera' resort. The resort Palmasera extends itself within an area of 12 hectars of mediterranean 'macchia' approximately to the sea and beach. The groups of bungalows and the hotel rooms are fitted harmoniously and are divided by either Completely renovated in 2005, these are the main new features: -Hotel rooms completely renovated and equipped with air condition (lobby, living room and meeting room, tv room, cinema, bar.) -The two restaurants have been enlarged and renovated, equipped with air condition -New health centre with sauna, gym, massage and beauty treatments -Swimming-pools enlarged and renovated -All the rooms are completely renovated and equipped with air-condition, tv sat, minibar, hair-dryer and safe. inimarket (selling also local handcrafts), newspapers, equipment and games for the beach, boutique, meeting room with projection tv screen for cinema or sportive events, card-playing-room, video-games-room, inside disco, disco near the seafront (from july to august, open to the public), theatre for shows in the open-air, parking, covered parking area extra charge Dining: The Oleanders In front of the swimming-pool 'Il Lago' with its 1200 seats the biggest one in the resort. Reserved for clients at the Villaggio or the Hotel. In the morning from 8.00 a.m. - 9.30. a.m. breakfast is served in here for all clients. The Golfo Situated at the beach offers you light snacks and meals to all our clients which do not want to leave the beach. (Reservation required for Villaggio and Hotel guests). Its snack bar is a meeting point for the sunbathers and offers its service until closure of the beach. From 23.00 pm on the terrace our entertainment team will organize parties and events every evening. The Ginepri Situated inside the Hotel, reserved for all Borgo and Hotel guests, where they can taste the delicacies of the Mediterranean. Pizzinos Restaurant for our youngest guest with a special menu (only for lunch), small equipped kitchen available also for the preparation of baby food. Recreation: The beach is of red sand in some points fine pebble stones, reachable by two different footpathes going down a set of steps. On the beachfront you can find the 'Golfo' bar and restaurant where you can get drinks, snacks, small meals, salads and grilled food. Parasols, sun-deck-chairs free of charge depending on availability. Free entrance. Entertainment and games on the beach. |

Its never been easier, with two of the low budget airlines, Ryan air and Easyjet, now flying into Sardinia on a daily basis. There are various means of transport available for getting to Cala Gonone. Car hire is the simplest transfer method, even if you only use it to do the transfers back and to, to the airport. If you are climbing or walking, or wish to see a little more of the island, car hire would definitely be the best option |
