Westend Hotel
Modern hotel in downtown Munich. Hotel Westend is a colourful and luminous establishment situated in the city centre of the Bavarian capital. Totally refurbished in 2005, the hotel has 44 design and fully equipped rooms. It is very close to the world famous Oktoberfest site, as well as to the oldest beer bar in Munich (Augustiner-Bräu), the historical Krone Circus or the European Patent Office.

 Short walk to city centre.
  Noisy at night and vehicles loading and unloading each morning outside front of Hotel woke us up.

 Central location Surrounded with lots of eating places and general stores. Now that I know what to expect I would consider staying there again.
  Not not a bus route - need to have your walking shoes. We could not reach the hotel with the directions given (we arrived by S Bahn from the airport) - we stopped at the correct station but the directions from there to the hotel was completely useless for us - we phoned to get directions and were directed in completely the wrong direction. One hour 18 minutes after arriving at the station we found the hotel. Had the directions been clear we would have been there in under 15 minutes. This has to be addressed. The lady at reception was not tourist friendly - I don't mind the lack of English but a smile does get you very far. The shower space is VERY limited.
