The four-storey Hotel Villa Montsouris was opened in 2003. It is only one block away from the Parc Montsouris and the Cité Universitaire and less than two kilometres from the catacombs of Montparnasse Cemetery. It is only 10 minutes by tramway T3 from the fair grounds Porte de Versailles. The metro Cité Universitaire (RER B) in direction to the Orly Airport and Charles de Gaulle Airport can easily be reached within 5 minutes on foot. The metro Porte d'Orléans (line 4) in direction to the city centre of Paris is at walking distance (5 minutes) and Montparnasse is reachable via metro within 8 minutes.
The colourful rooms, in Andalusian style, have terracotta floors and wrought iron beds and lamps made of mosaic glass. Room amenities include TV, internet access, phone, mini-bar and a safe. The tiled bathrooms have a wash basin, loud speakers, tub, towel heater and a hair-dryer.
In the breakfast lounge of the hotel a sumptuous breakfast buffet is served every day. Even the morning paper is available for you.
The cemetery of Montparnasse is a must for all those interested in culture and history. This is the place where celebrities like Beckett, Baudelaire and Sartre were buried.
