The hotel of Villa Augustus is housed in a former water tower (1882), a 15-minute walk from Dordrecht’s historic centre. The restaurant with the market shop of Villa Augustus is housed in the former pumping station (1942).
Both monumental buildings are right in the middle of an organic kitchen garden, situated at a former drinking water company site, a 1.5 hectares large terrain. It now features spacious grounds such as several decorative gardens.
Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas of Villa Augustus. The rooms of Villa Augustus have a light décor, extra long beds and a flat-screen cable TV. A minibar and a tray with a kettle, tea and coffee are also provided.
The restaurant is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and
dinner in which predominantly organic products are used; right from
the garden onto your plate! Every day an Afternoon Tea is served. The menu follows the seasons.
The market shop offers a range of seasonal produce as well as deli-style items. Home-baked sour dough bread, biscuits and cakes are made in the on-site bakery. You will also find a vegetable shop here.
Private parking is available for free at the hotel. Dordrecht houses the famous Dordrecht Museum and the Great Church. Rotterdam, featuring sights including the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, is 30 minutes away by car. The windmills of Kinderdijk are only 20 minutes away.
