Van der Valk Hotel Hildesheim is located at one of the most beautiful market squares of Northern Germany. The historic and listed facade of the hotel and its elegant interior present a romantic charm and atmosphere.

108 rooms in total, 33 of which present a view of the market square. They are equipped with bath and toilet, satellite TV, pay TV, air-condition, non alcoholic mini-bar free of charge, telephone, safe and coffee and tea making facilities. Free W-LAN Internet access available throughout the intire hotel. The room rates are including accomodation tax.

The Gildehaus restaurant combines timber framework from a typical north-German estate with modern design features. The gastronomic concept resembles creative and internationally influenced German cuisine as well as varied á la carte cuisine. The relaxed ambience at the Havanna Bar is created by precious wood panelling and colourful details. The sun terrace enjoys a nice position at the market square.

Our 7 function rooms provide perfect conditions for conferences, seminars and private festivities. The indoor pool, gym, sauna and solarium invite you to relax. The Salon Valentina offers soothing massages and beauty treatments.

It was a little bit cold (outside and in the room also). I tried to set the thermostat - didn't work - or maybe the heat was off from the central panel?! Initially I was informed that the parking is free, although I found a parking fee on the invoice.

I asked for a room with airco, which I got. What they didn't tell is that the airco was switched off centrally so I ended up with a stuffy room anyway.
