Room quality is really poor and windows are badly soundproof (rooms directed to the street Friedrichstrasse are really loud) |

the hotel provides additional items at no cost such as water boiler and teacups

I asked for a quiet room away from the street and got a room where I had to listen to garbage dumps banging most of the night. |

the hotel has an express service button for all needs. The employee is very responsibe

I had difficulties with my bill. I was billed for items which were a part of the package. When I spoke to the employee at the reception he indicated that this was part of the package. The invoice he issued at first was not itemized. I had to request it. Only after I received the second invoice I noticed the chanrge which the employee states was to be settled by me. I later looked at my original booking and called the front desk to inform them that the additional charge should not have been on my bill. The individual respondet that he will check it and call me back. This never happenned. I had to get up earlier on the day of my departure to go to the reception desk and settle the situation. The employee on duty that morning assisted me by deducting the charge and appologizing for the inconvenience. I filed out a hotel critique sheet and let it at the reception that morning. |

Staff proffesionalism and attempt to meet the needs

Hotel is 100% smoke-free incl rooms. That took me by unpleasant surprise as this was not widely and overly advertised,on the contrary, the reservation system allowed me to put the smoking room request without any feedback that was not possible. This is a matter of principle. I would not book the hotel otherwise, ie I felt cheated. I am used to be heavily discriminated but not cheated. My assistent put the hotel on undesirable list of discriminatory facilities. I am sure you will have enough guests without us but our society will avoid this chain. |
