Hotel description The Bull Hotel

The Bull dates back to 1688, situated along the old London to Oxford road, at a time when it was one of the principal coaching routes in England. Whilst we have come a long way from our roots as a coaching inn, we remain true to the traditional values of a warm welcome.

The hotel boasts an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest frontage of any coaching tavern in England, which remains largely as it was in 1688. Several improvements have been made to the interior over the years, whilst the facilities are modern; the décor is sympathetic to the original building. Leather Chesterfield sofas blend perfectly with beamed ceilings, ensuring the hotel retains its old world atmosphere and charm.

The bedrooms are comfortably furnished, with State rooms offering luxurious features such as marble bathrooms, air conditioning, and high speed internet access. The Bull has a choice of bars to relax in; the Jack Shrimpton Bar offers a lively village pub atmosphere, whilst the Cocktail bar provides a quieter atmosphere and an all year round view of the gardens. The gardens at the Bull are a source of great pleasure, sit and while away the day in their tranquil surroundings, sympathetically landscaped with gazebos and seating.

The Bull is located central to the attractions of Legoland, Windsor Castle and Hampton Court.

December 2012
Nice public areas, friendly staff and at £95 for bed and breakfast it offered very good value for money considering the locality to London.

The room I had was very tired and needed a refurb, it was certainly not a 4 star room. However I'm lead to believe that some rooms in the hotel had recently been refurbished so hopefully this is a sign of things to come, if I stay here again I'll definitely be asking for a newer room.

Great breakfast. Good room temperature. nice decoration in rooms. very comfortable bed. good checkin and check out.

Poor "WiFi" connection in room Bathroom fittings broken (plug in sink) Not very helpful staff, not proactive. long distance to room. Expensive evening meals and drinks. Hairdryer could have been more powerful. unable to dry hair standing up, mirror too small.

Comfortable room and good breakfast

The water pressure in the sink was too much when you needed hot water. Not had problems in previous rooms used in this hotel.

Breakfast offers huge variety with good quality. Service is realy good.

Room was VERY small and in bad overall condition. Room features the charme of the 1960s. Especially the bathroom needs a coplete renovation. I believe this hotel has renovated and non-renovated rooms. When reserving a room I can only recommend to ask for one of the newly renovated rooms.
