very peaceful and pretty location, lovely countryside, great for joggers; outdoor terrace very pleasant for meals; friendly staff, a bit tricky to get service at reception, but someone can quickly be found in the restaurant next door to assist
the outdoor terrace is lovely, though on very warm summer days, with no air conditioning in the room, it would be helpful if customers were asked to sit indoors after 11pm.With windows open, which was essential as the heat was stifling, it is difficult to sleep when guests remain on the terrace until late.
It would be an idea, in a location that is exposed to a lot of sunlight and does not offer air conditioning, to prepare a room for arrival, i.e. ensure that windows are opened, sun marquee lowered to keep the room as cool as possible for the arriving guest. As it was, I stepped into an incredibly overheated and stuffy room at 8pm, and even within 2 hrs of having opened windows and returning to the room there was no reprieve.
