Sheraton Jiuzhaigou Resort, the first five-star resort in China, is situated in North Sichuan Plateau, with altitudes of 1,800 meters above sea level. Our resort boasts 482 spacious guest rooms, including 20 suites. Modern furnishings retain a strong Tibetan and Qiang cultural theme. Non-smoking floors and handicap accessible rooms are available. Nestled amidst the green mountains and blue waters of this unique world heritage site, we are near the White River Golden Monkey National Reserve, only 1.5 km away from the Jiuzhaigou National Park entrance, and just 90 minutes from the newly built JiuHuang Airport. With a convenient location and great amenities, we are an excellent choice for those on holiday, business, or attending a conference. Special Condition Due to the recent earthquake in China, the Sheraton Jiuzhaigou Resort is closed and is not accepting reservations until July 6, 2008. The Hotel is in walking distance to the Jiuzhaigou Park entrance, which is very convenient.
The hotel has some acceptable restaurants.
The hotel layout and entrance hall is not really inviting, with a quite cold and uncomfortable atmosphere. The rooms are far behind in the old part, facing to the back yard, which is very noisy until late night due to crowds of local people walking around, shouting and talking in loud voices.
The breakfast buffet is lower normal standard and with 181,70RMB by far too expensive for what it is! As there is no alternative around, you are forced to spend this price for a breakfast.
The room service and the service in the breakfast room is not the fastest (and once we came back and found our room door open!).
