The only positive for this hotel was it's location to the central train station.

This hotel is over priced, in a terrible area with a casino placed on either side of the hotel. It is a run down hotel with terribly small rooms. We requested a non smoking room, which we got but the hallways were so smoky that our room smelt of smoke anyway. The price of the room was way to expensive for the quality of the room and i would recommend that a hostel would be more comfortable then this hotel for the price that you will pay.

Very helpful staff, good location near the city centre. The room was comfortable and very clean with excellent en suite facilities. Breakfast was more than adequate. Good secure car parking a few minutes walk away.

My front bedroom was noisy, but it was Saturday night!From street level to the first floor there are a lot of steps,so not suitable for anyone who is infirm or severely disabled.

It was nice and clean, and the staff were very, very friendly! Right in the center of town, a five minute walk to the train station.

It was extremely loud in the hallway during the night, especially because our door had a big crack at the top of it!

Centrally located, as was sugested in the advertising, making the hotel per se very practical. In a etailed sense, the rooms were clean and comfortable and this made for a relaxed stay.

I seem to regularly say this whether it is in response to your organisation or others Ihave emploed on occasion, but the attitude7demeanour of the staff on reception desks is not appropriate. That is, on this occasion virtually the only thing that was said was `you got this room cheap´in a manner that suggested I should not have, thus should have paid more. Perhaps a simple welcome and `have a nice stay´would have been a little better.Perhaps it is the contemporary ´ailment´of the service industry, I dont know, but it is certainly prevalent - I always get a sense it is because I am an Australian (perceivably English)and not German, or other European that the attitude is projected, or maybe it relates to the management groups running hotels. I accept it but do not like it, and perhaps there is nothing to be done for this.

- Sehr zentrale Lage beim Hauptbahnhof. - Tiefgaragenstellplatz möglich.

- Etwas lustige Lage (Viele Erotikläden in der Strasse) - Aufzug ist recht klein und führt nur zu Zwischengeschossen. - Keine Garantie, dass man im gebuchten Hotel landet. Wir sind im Hotel Lumen statt Residence angekommen. Was von Ausstattung, Kosten und Lage allerdings keinen Unterschied macht... Daher eigentlich nicht schlimm...
