The hotel, a family enterprise, is situated in a calm area within the climatic spa resort Altenbrak in the Harz mountains. Only about 100 m away, the guests can relax in the fantastic mountain sauna which has been built and decorated in Finnish log cabin style. There are several types of sauna, whirlpool, a fireplace and a relaxation room.
A breakfast room and a restaurant as well as a terrace in summer invite the guests to taste the Harz mountains and traditional meals.
About 6 km away from the village Altenbrak tourists can visit the witches dancing ground, where every year on April 30 witches and devils haunt and celebrate the Walpurgis night. In the summer months, the Mountain Theater performs dramas in a beautiful scenery. Wanderers could follow 122 km of trails, the so called Hexensteig. Near the village Altenbrak tourists can visit the world cultural heritage Quedlinburg and the city Wernigerode, the colourful centre of the Harz mountain region.
