Hotel Pensao Alcobia is an excellent residence situated in the heart of Lisbon city, between Martim Moniz and Figueira Square with a great view to S. Jorge Castle and Carmo Convent. We are at 5 km from the airport, 100 m from the metro station and 600 m from the bus and train station.

Our building has 4 floors, all remodelled. There are 38 comfortable rooms, all with private bathroom (with shower or bathtub), hair-dryer, satellite TV, air-conditioning, private safe box in the room and telephone. There is a lift starting from the 1st floor.

The bar is situated on the 1st floor next to the reception. We welcome our clients in a comfortable public room. On the 2nd floor, we offer a breakfast buffet served in a salon with an excellent view to the old part of Lisbon.

Our friendly staff will be glad to help you make a sightseeing tour through Lisbon or rent an automobile.

central location, good price-performance: simple, but everything you need, and kept in shape although a bit outdated furniture. A/C and TV are new.

a really lovely hotel, not too expensive for a city centre, comfortable, quiet and pleasant staff. Handy for the local transport, trams etc, and easy to get too from the airport. Would recommend it to anyone and will stay again if and when we return to Lisbon. Breakfast was varied and more than sufficient to start the day.

Lovely receptionists. Extremely helpful and welcoming. Made us feel comfortable. Location is very central, you can walk everywhere in about 5-10 mins. Most of the popular tram lines are about a block away!
 
No kettle in the room (but the receptionists constantly lent theirs to us, with very little fuss). There are 2.5 flights of stairs before you get to an elevator. So don't bring heavy luggage! The street itself is a little seedy, but if you walk around Figuera Sq and head into the hotel from the left, it's safer.

Central, just behind the corner from metro/tram/bus. Clean.
 
My room happenned to be on the same floor with the breakfast restaurant - very noisy in the morning. However no noise from the street was heard.

The hotel was nice and clean and right in the city of Lisbon.
 
The breakfast room was too small and from time to time people had to wait in order to get in and have their breakfast.

We asked to move from the 4e floor to the second, because there was no fire-stair outside the building. In case of fire the only way out was inside (we were at the and of the corridor) or to jump from the 4e floor. This is why I would never recommend this hotel to others. Good point: they immediately gave us another room.
