Quiet and clean room; extremely friendly staff; good breakfast; fast WLAN (for free); parking garage right next to the hotel. Very warm atmosphere - suitable for business and leisure.

The room we had was overlooking Columbi Park and very quiet.
Excellent staff and nice complimentary service during our stay which was very much appreciated.
Quiet is relative. In the morning the cleaning team was way too active for our taste with vacuuming, leaving windows and doors open of adjacent rooms for ventilation at below zero degrees.

The staff is wonderful.
The hotel badly needs air conditioning, for the street noise is overwhelming. Guests on the south side have the Eisenbahnstrasse to deal with. Guests on the east side have the happy, inebriated folks who populate the Columbi park around the clock. In other words, windows cannot be left open, but the Rhine valley is hot and humid for much of the year. Our small room smelled of smoke, too.

We were welcomed with the offer of a complimentary beverage ... and when we left were given a bottle of water each for our train journey. All staff were kind, thoughtful and friendly. We've stayed 3 times in this hotel and it's a definite favourite!
