Quietly situated, no trafffic noises nearby Grand central station and futh avenue. Good location, nice hotel. Daily market jst around the corner

| Bar is not famous or attractive, very old furniture, not attractive to have a drink.
Rooms warm even in winter airco needed or windows open. Airco was noisy and windows open was noisy from other airco's. |

Good hotel, great value for NY standards. Room quite standard and clean. Little streetsound hearable in the room (but hey its NY-city). The bathroom small but well eguiped and again very clean. We checked out many midpriced hotels (see also tripadvisor.com). The Jolly jumped out on value for money ratio. The hotel is situated 5 min walking from NY Grand Central Station (all subways / trains and buses are in your reach). Only a few bars nearby. Have your breakfast at Cafe 28 at the corner on Madison / E28st. Downtown (wallstreet/ground zero) is a 15 min subway ride. The hotelstaff is very friendly and helpfull. Next stay in NY is again in the Jolly.
