1. Breakfast: offers various types of coffee, even to take away, in case you are in a rush
2. Got a free glass of good wine at the bar, plus a small snack

|
Minibar in the room was stocked with beer, but bottle opener was missing. Has been supplied after leaving message to staff. |

With the cheap price I paid, I'd never imagined that I will get an excellent room in this hotel. The receptionists were also very friendly. They even let me do much early check in. City center is also in walking distance. Nothing negative can I say about this hotel. |

The traffic situation in the surrounding of the hotel is currently really bad. There's a construction site all around the hotel. Noise insulation is good but due to the noise outside it is hardly possible to open the windows for a longer time. |

I have stayed here before and think at 80 euros per night it is ok.

|
The standards are slipping a bit. No tissues in bathroom, no cups or water in gym, chamber maid came into room unannounced at 8am |

We stayed in a non-smoking room. However it smelled like someone would constantly smoke in the hotel room. |

Staff were friendly and helpful. Location very handy for U-bahn stop and closeness to main train station and shopping area.

|
Apart from being extremely overpriced my stay at the hotel would have been enjoyable but for the major construction work outside our front facing window. I had read about it, and had fingers crossed that we'd be out the back. We weren't and consequently I was awoken at 6am every morning and couldn't get back to sleep. They had usually stopped by 7pm and we were out most of the day, but one night they carried on until about 11pm. Wouldn't wish that on anyone. |

Central Location - City Center could be reached within a three minutes walk.
Great Breakfast Buffet, special wishes were welcomed. Friendly Reception/Bar staff.
Generous Check Out times.

|
Room, especially bathroom, too small. Poor quality of mattress.
Reception staff could have recommended to travel with public transport instead of private due to a special cultural event where most of Cologne's streets were blocked. It took nearly 2 hours to get to our target which was 5 km away. |

Nice and quiet room (inner courtyard). City center reachable within 10 minutes walk distance.

|
Hard to find by car, many construction sites around (summer 2010). No free parking. No free internet. |

The room was decent size and cleaned everyday.Breakfast was very nice, especially for the price.

|
Even though the room was ok for the price, It looked really tired. The bedsheets were not fitted and also small for the size of bed. We could not keep them on the mattress. They slipped off at night when we tossed over. Overall, I would not rate this hotel as a 4 star hotel. |

Very attractive hotel with a location normally good. Good accommodation, quiet good parking etc BUT please see my negative comments below.

|
At present this hotel is suffering from the U-Bahn construction in front of the hotel. However earlier in the year the Cologne Arcive building collapsed taking part of the road with it and preventing direct road access to the hotel. It is now necessary when approaching the hotel from the Aachen or south to cross the Rhine and join the Severinsbrucke and recross the Rhine and gain the hotel by a minor slip road. I paid a taxi driver to lead me on this route at a cost 0f 10 Euros. When I expressed my concern to the reception I did not feel that they were very symathetic to the situation. To gain the centre of Cologne by U-Bahn from the adjoining station a ticket cannot be purchased from the ticket machine with cash although the reception staff said it was possible. A member of the travelling pubic took pity on my wife and me and offered us one of her tickets. Basically the hotel can only be reached satisfactorily by foot. I have been using this hotel for over ten years and have previously been very pleased with my stay but the present situation leaves much to be desired |

Having stayed at a few Ibis hotels in the past including all 3 in Köln it was interesting to stay in a more upmarket version within the Accor hotels group. Breakfast was to the same standards as Ibis and the rooms were slightly larger. Slightly out of the way for the main part of the city centre (Dom/Hbf) but there is a tram stop beside the hotel where you can get a tram to Neumarkt.

|
Right out side the front of the hotel, contractors ar building a station for the new Nord-Sud s-Bahn and this work is continuous over 24 hours a day. We were Ok as we had a room at the back of the hotel. |
