Requested separate beds - this was available. Requested parking spot - that was available. Didn't have breakfast and didn't use the sport/wellness offers. Food at restaurant next door was good (had cheese fondue) one night. Comments on Internet about the hotel are very negative - I was rather satisfied.

Wireless was only available to those individuals with a computer. I had a mobile device. Room was not 100 % clean but that didn't bother me too much. My wife noted that one chair was missing and glass set for one instead of two. Had a room in the courtyard. I can imagine that a street side room could be loud as stated in the ratings on the website.

Breakfast rather basic but good. Friendly staff, very clean, close to the trade fair and walking distance to the Old Town. If you book a city break (as I did), you get free breakfast, a free public transport ticket plus a free glass of wine.

Not much that is really negative, just a few nitpicks. Tiny rooms and especially bathrooms, tiny old TV (not that I was there to watch it) Tried the cheese fondue at the Bajazzo restaurant, OK but a bit overpriced. WLAN costs money (though not a lot, 5 francs for an hour or 15 for 24 hours)

Room was very nice this time. Positioned at back of the hotel, no noise.

Air conditioning doesn't work. First time I stayed my room was extremly small, front of the hotel, very noisy, no air conditioning.

If you get a room on the side of the tram lines, then you are in trouble, but there are rooms at the backside ("la residence" - behind the gardens) and these are quite and nice. Unlimited internet access for 15CHF per day, but this is only if you use the LAN and not the Wireless LAN. WiFi is run by Swisscom and will cost you close to 30CHF per day. Breakfast was good. Garage included in the price. You will also find good restaurants on this street.

The driveway to the Garage is not obvious. The hotel itself is located on a street where the tramway runs and you are not supposed to drive on this road.

My judgment that the hotel is worse than it appears to be, according to its description, comes from the description on the hotel mercure website. There, it says that bathrooms have a bathtub. However, I only found a shower (and the bathroom was incredibly small).
