Hotel description MEININGER Hotel Frankfurt/Airport

Each one of the hotel’s eight floors is designed to suit the theme of “flying” and offers everything travellers need at an airport: In the breakfast room, a screen with the latest arrival and departure times will keep you updated. If you are flying very early, you can also take advantage of our early bird breakfast. Should your plane be late, pass the time in a friendly atmosphere at the pool in our bar. Pilots, flight attendants and air traffic controllers gather in the Airliner Lounge.

 

There are conference rooms available for meetings. If you like, you can prepare your own food in our guest kitchen. As an alternative, our bar offers warm and cold snacks.

 

If you prefer a soft landing in bed, you will love our sound-proof windows that can be blacked out completely so that you can sleep off your jetlag at any time of the day. Each of our modern non-smoking, 3-star standard rooms has an ensuite bathroom with a shower, a toilet and a hair dryer, air conditioning, a TV with sky channels and a telephone. Listen to your own music on the iPod docking station and recharge your iPhone or iPod.

 

WiFi is available for free in the lobby and all other public zones and in your room at a small charge.

 

Our shuttle service is available between 5 a.m. and 11 p.m. outside that times you can take a taxi for approximately 6,00 - 9,00 Euro. Pick up from the airport is on Terminal 2 exit D/E number 8. The bus runs every 30 minutes automatic to the airport. A seat reservation is not necessary. Return transfer from the hotel to Terminal 2 costs 3,00 Euro per person and a seat reservation will be taken at time of Check In.

Excellent check in, free wifi, shower, bed, bus to airport.
 
Please provide details of how to get the airport shuttle bus from each of the terminals, for example, ''the hotel shuttle bus departs from terminal 2. If you arrive at terminal 1, you need to get the free airport shuttle to terminal 2. Then walk to gate 8E, straight down from where the airport shuttle alights, and cross the road to the column that lists all the hotels. Wait for the Meininger hotel shuttle bus. It is too far and inappropriate to walk to the hotel from the airport as the roads around there do not have pavements''. Something like that.

Excellent hotel and very clean. Perfect for an overnight stay if you need to catch a flight the next day. The shuttle service worked perfect. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I can definitely recommend this hotel.

Due to the weather conditions my flight has been canceled and I could not arrive in time. The staff did not accept the VIS MAJOR exception and I had to pay the room. Another problem with the staff: I booked for 2 nights and my 2nd night was canceled by the hotel so I had to find another hotel. This kind of behavior is not acceptable for me!!!!

Close to airport. Cheap.

The room was awesome and the staff very kind! I took a taxi to the hotel which is only 5 min from Terminal 1. The shuttle in the morning stops at T1 and T2 which is very comfortable.
 
I would have appreciated more if breakfast was included in the price. I also didn't like the fact that the shuttle bus to airport, signed as free of charge on this website hotel.de, had a final cost of 3,00€. This definitely has to be changed.

We stayed one night before returning to the US. My daughter (4) and I enjoyed our stay: the room was spotless and comfortable, albeit small. The common areas of the hotel were hip -- a bit too hip for our taste: loudish music, and a big tv in the breakfast room. We very much appreciated that we were able to walk to the airport in the morning to stretch our legs before boarding our flight.

The purpose of this stay was to be in Frankfurt on time for a plane leaving Frankfurt in the morning. The hotel delivered all to be expected for that purpose and good value for the amount we payed.

I have not a good impresion of this hotel. It is a overnight solution when you have to get early at the airport, but in my age (early sixties), I can say that I was sent to the last room high up, at the end of the floor, and finally, tired as I got there the room was messi, this means, you could see that the bed was not done ( at 10 pm). and that someone left this room a short while before my arriving. The second point is the shuttlebus, has only 5 places and there is a list of possibilities to go. I was lucky to get the one at 6 am, it was the last seat, otherwise at 9:30 am , to late for my flight. Resume: it could be better!
