At 600 m above the sea level, surrounded by vast oak woods, there’s Masseria Chiancone, a farm, built in 1600 as a fortified agricultural setting. Once upon a time, the main structure used to be a manor house, the mansion of the “Massaro” (the farm keeper), with adjacent premises, used for cattle and cheese stocking.

The large rooms offer views over vast woods of ancient oaks on one side, and over a wide porch on the other side. All rooms are equipped with telephone, SAT TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, internet connection and direct dial phone.

Dinners in the dining room offer, besides the tastes of the traditional regional cuisine, the pleasure of a classy setting, the smell of the oaks, the laurel and the Mediterranean wood, penetrating from the large windows.

In the surrounding woods which are equipped with several benches for a quick rest, you can follow a 2 km long path along ancient holm oaks. The paths can be followed both on foot and on mountain bike. Further, the Masseria is equipped with a gym, a thermal and hydro pool and a Kneipp run.
